>This specific rebate offer was for a Cendyne 52x24x52x CD-R/W drive, If anyone bought that particular offer, it's a good chance it was a Lite-on. Look at the prices of a Lite-on CDRW? They get excellent reviews. And they work great in Beige G3's on up. I bought this one at OfficeMax and it was a Lite-on but a previous 48xCDRW from Cendenye was not. They vary from box to box.. Some are generic with no trackble manufacture that I can see.
http://www.cluboverclocker.com/reviews/drives/burners/lite-on48x/index.htm I recently got a good deal on the Khypermeda CDRW that seemed to work pretty good on a Mac. Sometimes you have to use it for a while to be sure but I ended up putting it in a PC but it booted and mounted on my G3. Some will refuse to even startup. Although, Rebating is really getting on my nerves. I do it alot and surprisingly find a lot of stuff free, even CDRW, memory etc. OfficeMax , BestBuy Staples rebates are farily quick and reliable but the manufactures rebate has taken up to 4 months, plust I've had to badger them, even send xerox copy of proof but rarely get burned in the end but a lot of trouble. These multiple rebates are particularly a pain. ===== __________________________________________ alternate e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sig: Specs: Beige G3 DT/466mhz, OS 9.2.2 & 10.2 __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
