I have a question concerning the operating DVD specs delineated on the Super Dives shipped with the G4 1.2GB DP and the 1.4GB DP towers.
They specify DVD -R at 4X
There is no spec listed for DVR -RW at 2X
Is this correct, that is, you cannot use DRD-RW media on these machines, only DCD-R ?

BTW. I have ordered the Pioneer, retail Superdrive DVR-A05 that does specify
DVD-R 4X and DVD-RW at 2X
If the above is true, then It would appear that my most cost effective upgrade move would be to buy a combo DVD model and install the Pioneer ( Pioneer on top tray as Master and Combo on bottom tray as slave)(?)
