Just wanted to say I've solved the problem with my firewire card. The tech support from Orange Micro was very helpful and apparently I was missing a couple of extensions. They emailed them to me and now Toast can "see" my CDRW. I haven't tried the camcorder, but am assuming it will work also. So all's well that ends well! Thanks for all the suggestions.
