Hello, I don't know if this was addressed recently, so forgive me if it was...... I'll try to keep it simple I have songs on a partitioned internal drive which is just about full....... I started to rip songs onto my first partition for a temporary storage solution, knowing that I have to change my iTunes folder in my preferences when I want to listen to those songs. (in order to avoid the '! - can't find it' message).
Now, I have bought an external drive for, not only for all of my iTunes, but for some other songs that I did not rip myself. (We'll leave it at that.) My question is: Is there an easy way to transfer all of the songs onto the drive into one new iTunes folder and keep my preferences, playlists, tags, etc, without having to re-link them (one-by-one) or re-drag all of the songs back onto the library (ie. after trashing my preferences) and starting over?
