Speaking of Booting CD-ROM drives, all SCSI drives could boot if you held
command-option-shift-backspace! and the number of the SCSI ID the CD-ROM
drive was. However IDE drives are not so forgiving. I think Apple computers
look for a Drive ID number or drive type code from the circuit board, Cause
ANY drive set on the Second channel IDE bus AS master should be able to use
the "C" Key but it doesn�t always seem to be the case. So you do need to
fool with the slave and master settings. AND ALWAYS keep CD-ROM's separate
from the HD! God forbid if you mix!
