Hey all: I bought the Cendyne CDRW drive from OfficeMax that I mentioned a few days ago. I got the last one they had!
Anyway, can anyone here remember what the official master/slave configuration is for a Beige G3 desktop machine? The Zip drive in mine appears to be on the SCSI bus. I configured the hard drive and the CDRW to be on separate buses, each set to Master. That seemed to work fine in OS 9 including booting from an OS 9 CD, but when I tried to boot into OS X from the Jag CD, I get "unknown word" in Open Firmware and I can't seem to type in anything. I tried rebooting with an OS 9 CD, but I get same result. I turned it off and unhooked the CDRW and still same result.
