No, the PSU fires up. It's giving power to all of the molex connectors, though I have to say that I have not checked to see if it's powering the logic board.

Clark mentioned a dead PRAM battery with the appropriate procedure.
If it's not that, Jason, my vote is that it's a dead power supply. When you
tried to boot up with no response, did you happen to hear little clicks at
first (not many maybe one or two) and then nothing at all?
Whenever I've had a unit go completely out all of a sudden as you describe,
it's always been the PSU.
