I have a G4 iMac with cd-r/rw drive. 98% of the time I use Toast to burn, but today I used the Finder.
In the "Burn" dialog box it only allowed "maximum" speed with all the other speeds greyed-out including 1x. I continued with this setting. Subsequently the burn completed but then failed verification, and would not mount on the desktop.
