I "borrowed" some RAM from my PC to use in a B&W G3. The system took a long time to boot up and crashed a couple of times. Swapped the RAM out and everything worked great.


Try swapping out your ram one stick at a time, Im not familiar with the memory config of the MT. If you have;
RESET PRAM
REMOVED BATTERY FOR 15 MINUTES
REBUILT DESKTOP
RESTARTED WITHOUT EXTENSIONS
and it is still acting funny I would suspect hardware.
It is most likely your RAM.


It once took me a month to track down a bad memory stick in a SPARC 5 Workstation.
