Yeah. About 5 minutes after I started to espouse the greatness of Eudora 5 on X, it started to unexpectedly quit on me (about once a day). After a while it must have tired of that, because it decided to stop being able to download my email at all.
I'm sticking with mail.app. Seems stable enough, and does have some filtering capabilities, though I haven't used them yet.

Eudora 6 is in public beta right now. Spam trap and more. Version 5 has been great too.
Eudora 6 beta can be found at the eudora.com web site.

I need many mailboxes and sorting for all my different lists.
Functionalities I don't have that I'd like are:
1. Ability to not download attachments over a certain size and also delete them from the server.
Eudora 3.0.1 lets you reject attachments over a certain size but they're still on the server clogging up the mail space. I have to go to Earthlink's webmail page to delete them. This is a lot of work for attachments I didn't ask for and don't want.
I think Eudora 3 Pro does this -- I use that on my PC and it has this under
"Server status" for messages. (I use the free version on my Mac, and it
lacks some functions)Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
