Can anyone offer suggestions about how to resolve this issue?

I had this same problem about a year ago when I first got my Yamaha
CDRW and Toast Lite. I called Yamaha tech support and they said it was
a conflict between a 9.1 extension and one of the Toast extensions.
When I disabled the 9.1 extension, the problem cleared up.

I wish I could be more specific but it happened too long ago.

Disk Burner and CD Authoring extensions. The true cure is to rename the Toast extension with a space in the name, forcing it to load first.
