I used to have a 400MHz Sawtooth which made a funny buzzing noise
every so often. At the time I read a question from someone who had
what I can imagine was the same noise (described as a wasp in a jar).
The suggested answer was that the PSU was on the way out.

However, I have now replaced my Sawtooth with a dual 1GHz MDD
and as it stand about a foot from me as I type this, this machine also
makes the same noise at regular intervals, but it sounds more like a
servo than a wasp in a jar.

Anyone have an explaination ?

Laurence
