There are a lot of lies about USB put out. "USB 2" is a standard that
includes many USB (now called USB 1) devices. So a device or port can be
called USB 2 even if it isn't "USB High Speed" which is what they want you
to think it is.

So you can't believe the label, you have to read the specs -- ignore the
USB 1/2; the difference is between "High Speed" (faster)  and "Full Speed".
It's like Starbucks coffee; they're all "big", just said different ways.
