>So I'm considering some fans. Where to put them? Two fans will fit in the MT's "handle".
All my MTs are equipped with additional fans. I'm presently using a pair of Turbofan(R) Model 6025C12BS fans in each MT. There are, of course, others which have the same form factor. Get ones with long leads and parallel these, and connect these to Pin 1 (+12 volts) and Pin 2 (+12 volts return) of a *male* 4-pin AMP Mate-N-Lock connector. >Should I be concerned about adding a power drain with all the stuff already >running in there? Not really. The fans, themselves, won't add that much power consumption. However, I usually change out the 171 watt Apple power supply for a 300 or 350 watt ATX power supply. Just about any one which has a 20-pin cable which is 13" or longer will can be made to work in a MT. Right now, I have *no* MTs which have the original Apple power supplies. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
