Folks,

I have a strange problem with logging in to a site. It claims that "no open proxies"
is allowed in. As far as I can tell I am using no proxy at all, but still, the
Internet Settings Control Panel insists on mucking about with both the settings on IE
and Netscape - telling them to use "web proxy" regardless of what I say to either of
them or the Control Panel. Any ideas what this is about? Do I even need the Control
Panel? Can any other contraption messu proxy settings?

Anders
