subsidizing makers of good software

I believe this is the first time I"ve ever heard of 'Paying for what you use' called 'subsidizing somebody'.

I paid for Stuffit a long time ago.

Alladin is nice enough to merely nag you when you use their software without paying, unlike most companies, and they recognize that 'Hey I need this once in a blue moon' kind of thing is hard to get people to pay for, but if you use it regulkarly, I believe you're ethically bound to pay for it.

If you don't, hey, it's *your* karma...
