I bought a dialup modem ot auction which came with a cable that doesn't fit
to a mac- I looked at CompUSA for a cable or adapter to no avail. I need to
have a DB25 male at the modem end and an old Mac priter/modem connector
(male) at the computer end. I have one of these cables for my other computer
and modem (it has no brand name on it, may have been made for US Robotics)
but need another. My old cable has the Mac type connector at both ends (has
the little arrows going in opposite directions imprinted). Anyone have one
they want to sell me or know where to get one offhand?

CompUSA did have a $30 cable to connect a DB25 to a USB port, but I rather
doubt if that would work even though it would make a connection, without
some kind of special software driver.
