Thanks Richard, This is what I remember hearing about. I've seen the odd shaped apple mic's in eBay(can't remember what they are called). Do you think "it" has the longer plug? I have both the base model audio in/out card plus the wings card. I've found a free download of "Coaster", and was trying to get my other half set up so she could read some short stories to record using the G3. I imagine her reading and recording one page at a time to make a file for burning to CD later.
I have no idea how much space this requires in Kb/Mb either, so we will just have to experiment. I could live with the mono recording if it takes that just to get started. She is a librarian and gets these wish list from the blind for books or magazine articles on tape or CD. I just purchased a new mono mic thats for a Karaoke box....for cheap the other day, but it's plug is 1/8 x 1/2. I had hoped to use it but am not sure if it will work now. Does anyone have a Apple Microphone where they can measure the length of the plug and let me know it's length? Perhaps I can rig an adapter yet. However, as far > as I know, mic input is mono only. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo!
