Hard Disk Speed Tools are supposed to be able to replace the drivers without
affecting the content of the drive so you don't have to reformat when moving a
drive to the Acard.  It's a commercial program that came with some cards and
drives.  I think I got my copy from OWC which sold me the card.  I'm not sure
the bundled version I have does the trick, but members of this list have had
sucess with it.

In any case it's not the format of the drive, it's the drivers that determine
how it works with the Acard.
