found out meanwhile that in OSX the drive is seen on the desktop without formatting it., later I formatted that drive in OS 9.1 and it shows now also, have a 13 gig drive with all my work on it, I don't want to format, is there no other way to get this drive going with the card in OS 9.1? Franz Bangkok --- end of quote --- Hard Disk Speed Tools are supposed to be able to replace the drivers without affecting the content of the drive so you don't have to reformat when moving a drive to the Acard. It's a commercial program that came with some cards and drives. I think I got my copy from OWC which sold me the card. I'm not sure the bundled version I have does the trick, but members of this list have had sucess with it.
