Are the DT and Tower power supplies different, or can they be swapped?

The AIO, DT, & MT all use the same mobo.

If he has a G3 DT case, the PSU jumper setting is the same as the AIO.

to move my jumper to the PS/2 pins, since I put my mobo into a MT

Somewhere along the line, I'll remove the monitor from my AIO case, 
order an
iMacAquarium kit, and set about modifying that to fit into the AIO 
case.
