Jason:

They are not the same, although they both work with the either motherboard. There is a little jumper up near the corner by the PCI slots on the motherboard. One set of pins is used for the DT powersupply and the other for the MT power supply. As I recall they are labeled Apple (for the DT case) and ps/2 (for the MT case). You simply move the jumper to match the power supply. What I don't know is if you can swap the power supply from one case to the other, and I don't know what the power supply is on the AIO and whether it can be used in either the DT or MT case. I'm guessing it will work fine with the MB, because someone has already posted that the MBs are the same across the line.

Are the DT and Tower power supplies different, or can they be swapped?

Jason,
The AIO, DT, & MT all use the same mobo.
There are jumpers on mobo for power supply if putting
AIO or DT mobo into MT that you need to pay attention to.

If he has a G3 DT case, the PSU jumper setting is the same as the AIO. I had
to move my jumper to the PS/2 pins, since I put my mobo into a MT case. And,
all the drives are directly swappable, from the AIO to the MT. If need be,
go to http://www.pidrus.com/ for bezels, if you have a zip drive. If you go
with a good PCI graphics card, in the DT case (such as the ATI Radeon 7000
ME like I've got), I know you'll be able to run a 19" flat-CRT at millions
of colors, in OS X 10.2.8.

Somewhere along the line, I'll remove the monitor from my AIO case, order an
iMacAquarium kit, and set about modifying that to fit into the AIO case.
