I have heard a range of things about Voodoo performance and I have not tried myself. What I have been told is that in some cases you can not install X with the Voodoo card installed, the conclusion I have heard before is that while the Voodoo card does provide video output, it does not accelerate either 2D or 3D as there is not driver support.

If you use Classic Mac OS then 3dfx Voodoo cards [PCI Voodoo3 3000,
Voodoo4, Voodoo5] cards work well also. Drivers can be hard to find but
I have them all so if you need em I could hook you up.

I have a Voodoo (5, I think), video card in my Beige G3. Currently running
OS 9.2 If I put in OSX what performance can I expect from the Voodoo card?
Is there a driver problem for this?
