Don't agree with you dear Glenn. Zip 100 drives can read and write zip 100 discs. Zip 250 drives can read AND write zip 250 as zip 100 discs as well. To complete: Zip 750 drives can read zip 750, 250 and 100 but can only write zip 750 and 250 discs. Jaz 1GB drives can read/write jaz 1GB discs. Jaz 2GB drives can read/write jaz 2GB and 1GB discs. Having in use: Zip 100 IDE intern in Beige G3 Zip 100 SCSI intern in PM 9600/350 3 x Zip 100 SCSI extern Zip 250 SCSI extern, I could just easily check to be quite sure. And I'm sure! About Gerthe's problem: I think it would be helpfull to try a disc from both in a third one to see what happens. I believe one of the 2 is suspect. Have bad experiences with IDE models.
