All,

Looking for feedback on a simple question: What is a Mac? I will be presenting a quick background overview of the Mac to folks who have little to no experience with them. I will be concentrating on newer G3-and-up Macs and OS 9.x-10.3 OS. I'm curious to hear your thoughts about "what is a Mac?"

I would say that that to truly appreciate a Mac you have to use one. From an outsiders perspective think of the advancements that Apple has contributed to.... The OS which was copied into the "windows" platform. Firewire was invented by Apple, if you have data worth moving quickly it can be accomplished successfully with Apple equipment. And lastly, let us not forget about the iMac (which saved Apple's six) and the iPod which is one of the most versatile accessories you could ask for (even ported to the window's environment). A lot can be said of the Mac, but what I like myself is that I don't have to worry about viruses, they are lightning fast (always have been) and they probably still deserve recognition as the professionals choice for digital music, video and desktop publishing!

Sorry for the rant.

Just my 2 worth
