Thanks for the help everyone. I tried everything suggested, but nothing worked.
I then decided to format a second disk I had, and installed 9 and x on it. I then started up in 9, then x, then selected the other x volume and it started up. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S UP?!?!?!? All I know is, this worked, and did so consistently. However, if I told it to use the 9 on the main disk, it wouldn't boot, and I would have to start over, or at least go to the x system on disk 2. I was about this -> || close to smashing it with my flashlight last night, but I restrained myself. I can only assume something is wrong with the formatting of the disk, but I'd already reformatted the first time it did this. Maybe I did it wrong twice? Does THIS sound familiar to anyone? All this to enable the cache in my new g4 zif...Grrrrrrr... Thanks, Paul On 2/13/04 12:49 AM, "James Riesterer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >>> Do you mean Change Startup Disk 1.6.1?
