Does THIS sound familiar to anyone? --- end of quote --- When I first tried getting X up on my Beige I spent weeks at it. This list was a great help. Once it was all established it worked like a charm, consistenly for over a year now. So I spent weeks getting Panther working, with great frustration, mostly in restoring normal 9 and 10.2 operation after some problems with install. Again it all works, all three operating systems on my Beige. And it seems normal and clean. If I knew then what I know now, it would have been easy, but there is a learning curve, or maybe a rite of passage, every time I upgrade. So far it's been worth it in terms of ease of use and productivity. Glad you did't smash your machine. Good luck, Rich -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
