Make sure you have the latest version of IE from MS:

This may also be an issue of a site that is coded specifically to run in IE for the PC. It happens. I've seen it before at the University of MD where I used to work. [End of help]
[Beginning of Rant]
One thing I really hate is when people in the tech rags say the MS is "innovative." MS did the same thing with HTML that they did with DOS. They took an established "thing" (be it an OS, or a programming language) and modified it a bit and said, "Look, it's a new and 'better' version of HTML." Yeah, right... Now, web site programmers have to spend precious time coding their sites to work with different browsers and those browsers on different OSes. Otherwise, you'll end up with a problem like you're having now. I bet dollars that site works perfectly in IE on a PC...
[End rant] Thank you.... come again.

I'm running 10.2.6 on my Beige G3 and I often get "java" errors running IE 5. Like for instance I get error messages constantly when trying to use a university MOO (interactive site). When I've asked the tech guy at the university department he says that "Macs can't handle java well" -- I don't know if this is an OS problem or an IE problem or maybe some problem with my machine.
Or, could someone direct me to where I can look up what's going on?
