Hi Listers,

I have a minor but annoying problem that I havent been able to solve.
Since installing a second graphic card (ATI Rage 128 PCI) in my G4 APG
Graphic (Sawtooth), the energy saver (screen saver) and sleep functions
no longer work. When I click on sleep, I get an error message that says
the side door on my computer is open and sleep cant be activated until
it is closed although, of course, it is closed. I have looked for a bad
switch or sensor but cant find anything.

Anyone had this problem or can direct me to info? I have read KB Article
50488 which discusses sleep problems but nothing seems to apply. Could
resetting the PMU (KB Article 95037) cure the problem? Has anyone tried
it? Negative effects?

I would like to solve this problem because I have a TFT monitor with
limited life and it would be good if it were switched off when I am away
from my desk.

I would appreciate any help.
