I know all of them on Windoze, but don't have a clue about Macs. You know,
the keys you push to get a pop-up menu to come up, copy, paste, cut, etc.
And any others that are handy. TIA.
holding down the command-key (aka Apple, cloverleaf or 'splat') and clicking on something brings up the contextual menu, you would expect from right-clicking on something in windows.
Getting a cheap two-button USB mouse will probably make the right mouse button work properly. I know a bunch of people in one of our labs routinely swap around their usb mice between their PC laptops and the Macs in the lab and they work just fine, sans drivers.
Command-Shift-3 takes a screen shot, and stores it as 'Picture N' on your desktop, where N is one higher than any other it finds there. Command-shift-4 gives you crosshairs so you can drag and select a portion of the screen. Upon letting go of the moue button it will create a picture (a pdf or tiff file, settable somewhere in the prefs.) Pressing the space bar after pressing command-shift-4 will let you simply click on a window or menu to take a shot of that.
Get into Mac Help, it's quite good. Select Mac Help from the Finder, and browse through it for a while...
