Hi there: In connection with the blue & white G3 I was recently given, I need to buy a mouse for it...the mouse I have is ADB and this takes USB (with which I am completely unfamiliar, not being that big on the hardware end of things). I know there's one ADB port on the unit itself but I seriously doubt my current mouse cord would be able to reach it.
Could the accumulated wisdom of the list please make a couple of recommendations for what to get? I have never had to buy one separately. Here are a few things I might mention: 1) I hate the circular-shaped ones. 2) I have never used a trackball but am not *necessarily* opposed to using one (though my family may disagree) 3) I do not have much money to spend...maybe around $20 tops. 4) I know nothing about which manufacturers to look for or look out for 5) What else should I look for or look out for? 6) Would ebay or the LEM swap list be good places to look, and if so is one preferable? 7) Optical...is it better than the kimd My mother used to make? 8) Cordless, ditto.
