Curse ball mouses. Get optical. Much nicer. Two buttons. Scroll wheels rock. Once you get used to it you can't live without it. Never done wireless, but have seen them and they work well enough. I knew this one kid at work who got a Kensington wireless mouse for his eMac. He programmed one of the buttons to open his CD tray and was doing it from about 30 feet away. Trackballs are nice. Better for folks who have repetitive motion issues (carpal tunnel for one).

I have a (don't hurt me) MS optical wheel mouse. I liked it so much I bought one for my other computer as well. It works well. However, it seems to "slow down" occasionally and I have to unplug it from my keyboard and re-plug it in. I had this problem in 10.2.x and now in 10.3.x. Otherwise, a nice typical two button mouse with a scroll wheel.

7) Optical...is it better than the kimd My mother used to make?
8) Cordless, ditto.
