I'm a mac newb, but am well versed in the PC world.  To do this in Explorer,
on the PC anyway, right-click (or use the appropriate keystrokes to bring
the menu up) on the link to the .pdf file and choose "save target as...",
which should open a dialog box that will allow you to navigate and choose
where you want to save this file.
