Hey all,

I've heard that if you are using an ATA controller card even if it's
ATA-100+, that the audio will stutter when transferring an edited movie back
to the digital camcorder when using iMovie.

My system is a B&W G3 rev.1 (XLR8 G4/500) running Jaguar with 768MB of ram.
Right now I don't have anything attached to the main onboard ATA port. I am
running both hard drives on my ACARD ATA-100+ controller card. I have
noticed the stuttering audio when I try to transfer my video back to the
digital camcorder.

If I attach a 40GB hard drive (7200 rpm) to the onboard ATA port and use
this drive only to store and edit my digital video will this solve the
stuttering audio OR do I have to have iMovie also installed on this drive?

Thanks in advance!
