3) Sure, but after you're used to OS X*. Your only real choice, btw, is the ATI 7000 PCI.
4) Any good drive should work fine. No software is needed, regardless of brand. Internal will be better, as OS X and the iLife apps are programmed to do somethings only with internal drives. *If do get a DVD drive, you will need to get the ATI 7000, as well (assuming you plan to play movies).
5) A combo card is a good choice. The built-in FW/USB on the B&W is frequently unreliable--especially under OS X. Depending on your budget, consider a FW/USB 2/fast ATA combo card. Shop carefully. As for a tuner, I suspect people don't really use these once they buy them, but if you think you will, be sure you select a model which is supported by OS X software.
