There were some issues regarding conflicting extensions when using USB cards with OS 9.2.2.
I could not get a belkin card bus to work on my Wallstreet using OS 9.2.2, but after reading the below links and using the extensions in the second I had no problems.
There are a lot of issues on the first link regarding adding USB cards so read through all to see any future hazards you may experience.
Hope this helps.

So,
I want to put a USB PCI card in a Beige running OS 9.2.2 and 10.2.6. There are some on eBay, Belkins and a Comp USA, which do USB 1.1 and that is fine. They all say you can get the drivers from Apple. I've asked where but they may not reply. Even those with high ratings sometimes do not know everything about what they are selling. So, do any of you know where at Apple one can download the drivers? Or, do 9.2.2 and/or 10.2.6 come with them?
Thanks, Anand
