Hello: I am trying to connect a BW G3, OS 9.1 Mac to a Penium Pro (200 mhz) Windows 98 PC. I am using Ethernet cards in both computers connected to a hub.
I have got them both connected, and they ping each other perfectly. The problem I am having is, now that they are connected what software do I need to use? What I want to do is to be able to drag and drop files (mp3, txt, jpeg ect...) from the Mac to the PC. I then want to use the PC's cd burner to copy them to a cd. Using IE 5, The PC will connect to the mac if I put in the Mac's IP address in the url line. (I can't figure how to get it to do anything more than just show the default page from the Mac). I can't get the Mac to acknowledge the PC at all. I have set different IP address's for both of the machines, which I was told to do. Now, I am at a loss where to go from here. I am sorry for the long post but I wanted to explain what I have done so far. Thanks in advance, Max -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
