hum. Wedging a 64-bit processor onto a 32-bit bus system.
Not that big a deal really. Just have to hope the cpu has a 32bit bus mode similar to 386sx's, some 68030/68040 macs, etc that were running 32bit cpu's on 16 busses.
Those older processors had 16-bit stub modes on the chips, so they could be used on motherboards that had only 16-bit system and memory busses.
The PowerPC 970 ("G5") does not have a stub mode. It is 64-bit "clean".
