Bruce, thank you for the reply to my question and the advice. If I could bug you again I have another question. I found only three extensions in extension manager that relate purely to Firewire they are: Firewire Authoring Support, Firewire Enabler, and Firewire Support. All the other Firewire extensions I found relate specific items such as IPod or Quicktime DV. I also saw a Toast Firewire Support extension.
