Just select Burn in iDVD, insert a blank disk and wait.

IDVD will encode and compress video files in the background as you work on other
things, as long as the program is still running, even before you select Burn.
If you quit iDVD before the encoding is complete, it will resume where it left
off the next time you run it and open that project.

If the encoding is already done, it won't take long after selecting Burn to burn
the disk. You may select Burn before encoding is complete. The program will
finish the work then burn the disk. If there is a lot of compression to be
done, you'll have to wait hours. This is normal.

One reason I'm telling you about this is there is a pitfall on some machines.
OS X will spin down some disk drives if they are not used after a certain amount
of time. If this happens while you are waiting iDVD to finish encoding during
the Burn command, your disk will be ruined.

The solution is to use some kind of utility to prevent spindown. There's
Spindownfix, available on the web. Or one of the osX utilities like Cocktail
(also free on the web) has a "no spindown" control.

I was mystified at burn failures until I found out about this.

Good luck.
