Hello everyone.
Im new to this list,so i dont know if those things are
discussed before. I didnt see a link to an Archive so
if theres one , please provide me a link.
To my question:
I want to upgrade my g3 beige 233 Revision-A
so I can use DVD Studio pro 1.5 or better 2.0.
Has anyone done a similar thing so he can tell me what
upgrade�s are needed to get DVD SP properly working on
such an old Computer.
Im NOT interested in encoding on this machine, as I
have fast PCS to do the job. I only want to Author
DVD's and compile them on this machine.
My setup:
- G3 beige DT 233MHz (oc 266)
- Revision-A(without ATI Rage and second IDE)
- 184 MB Ram
- 18 GB HD
components I want to upgrade:
- ATI Radeon 7000 PCI (just ordered)
- owc g4 500 MHZ zif upgrade (or is g3 upgrade
enpough?)
- Firewire/USB card
- Maximum RAM (786MB)
Any thoughts on what works and what not are greatly
welcome!
