Being a prepress- and sysop for eight years now with every days work
behind a monitor (and @ home aswell) I can now even see a refresh rate
of 85Hz at a resolution of 1152x870, while it used to be fine
previously, so I tend to set the refresh rate to 100Hz if the screen can
handle it. Luckily my main monitor @ work can handle this.

About the house current, in Europe TVs operate @ 50Hz, but even this is
starting to bug me, luckily there are 100Hz TVs available so when I have
to replace my current set up I'll opt for that!

BTW it seems that I am the only to see those low-to-me refresh rates
here at work, but also at other places; some people don't even notice
that a monitor is operating @ 60Hz, am I really the only one?
