Hi y'all!
On my old Pismo with OS 9.2.1 I could open a fairly complex .AI file (created from a .DWG CAD drawing) in Freehand 9 by asigning around 100MB to the app, the Mac had 384MB of RAM.
But now on my PB 15" 768MB RAM and OS X.3.3 and Frrehand MX the file cannot be opened due to "not enough memory".
What ?!
Any ideas ? I cannot accept that this spec Mac cannot do the job that an old G3 with half the memory could...
I'd suspect a messed up file rather than the error you're getting. I've seen the 'Not enough memory' errors with corrupted PDF and Photoshop files.
