I am working on Panther at work and I find that it handles the files much different
(obviously) than in classic. When I run classic on certain programs, there is a big
memory issue with the programs. I suspect that it has to do with the way OS X deals
with memory allocation of the programs. I prefer to use OS 9.2 because I like the
freedom of allocating the memory that I want to any given program. OS X doesn't allow
this, it automatically ups the memory as you go along. I don't like this because as
in Larry's problem, there is no way to get around the fact that he has a big file. It
just won't open.

I do agree with Bruce about PS 7 though, there are a lot of nice features in there,
and on top of it, it runs nicely in OS 9.

matty.

I'd suspect a messed up file rather than the error you're getting. I've
seen the 'Not enough memory' errors with corrupted PDF and Photoshop
files.
