Is there a software DVD player (either OSX or 9.x) that will play DVDS on non-superdrive DVD drives? My Apple DVD player chokes and says there's no hardware present.
The older Apple Player 2.7 works fine with OS9 and non super drives. Any of the 3.0 and up versions wont work. See http://www.apple.com/dvd/apple_dvd_player.html for details about DVD player versions and compatibility. If you have an early Mac? You may need to update the player. see http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=59000
