Dear Brian,
I'm using a QuickSilver G4, and I have 128/384 ADSL line from provider ... I
have QTSS too, will it do the job? If so, how do make my Mac an audio
streaming server? By the way, I remember reading an article in MacAddict
regarding making a streaming server, but can't find it, anyone remember
where is it? Thanks ... again ... :)
If all you want to do is share your music, iTunes will do it, just a couple of mouse clicks away.
QTSS is way way overkill.
You still don't say which OS you have. Anyway, in my 10.2.8 iTunes (freebie, not iLife bundle) Preferences/share my music/ check the box :)
Tell your friends your IP, and you should be good to go. if you have a router/firewall up, you will have to read the docs and open up a port for people outside to be able to connect in.
HTH.
