So if I want to point at the directory "family" on the non-main drive "untitled", do I refer to it as:


/untitled/documents/family  (if family is inside documents)

Paths in OS X are straight unix, they use '/' as the directory separator, and all mounted volumes are placed in the directory tree, in OS X's case, it's at /Volumes/...
