I have this same drive in my Beige G3 DT (G4 overclocked to 466 with 384 of ram). Nothing but coasters (CDR and DVD-R) because of buffer underrun errors. I was able to update the firmware to 1.18 with reports that this would help. No luck.
Anybody with similar experiences and/or solutions?
I have the official 1.18 update if anyone is interested.
