I have a question for the wise list members this morning, I'm planning 
to change some things on my newly aquired B&W G3 (400 Mhz-320 Mb-Rev.2). 
For one thing, I'm going to add an 80 Gb HD as a slave on the primary 
IDE channel and install Panther on it.  Plus I want to swap the DVD ROM 
drive with a Lite On 48x combo DVD-CDRW drive so that I can burn CD's on 
this system.  Having heard some of the horror stories here on this list 
about how the PRAM sometimes get confused and causes problems, would it 
be best to pull the battery prior to making these changes or are these 
problems more associated with the beige G3's?
