Some of us have already done this on account of Retrospect requiring a SCSI 
CD-R drive.

The version of Retrospect I use requires a SCSI CD-R because it requires a 
CD-R drive which supports "packet write" mode.

My old Beige MT has a Yamaha 8424S drive ... 24X read, 8X write, 4X re-write.
