The version of Retrospect I use requires a SCSI CD-R because it requires a
CD-R drive which supports "packet write" mode.

My old Beige MT has a Yamaha 8424S drive ... 24X read, 8X write, 4X re-write.

I was planning to fit 4x 120GB drives in it so I think a CD-R would struggle to back up my files...

BTW I am going to stick the MB and PSU into a completely different
box, so how/where one mounts drives is irrelevant but still very much
apreciated.  :o)
